The client’s layout and brand guidelines were provided to us and were studied as part of our pre-engagement prep work. Whilst space allocations were ‘firm’ there was clearly latitude within the branding guidelines to allow an infusion of Singapore inspired elements into the workplace branding package.
Here Technologies sought to build a workplace that was more than just a location for employees to work. The office space was created to serve as a showcase platform for Here’s clients, therefore they requested a large flexible open space for townhalls and launch events.
Functional planning drivers support workflow productivity and efficient space economy and utilisation whereas, ‘form’ is all about aesthetics and emotional and visual delivery. To effectively integrate Function & Form, a set of 5 space typologies was developed. For example, “Gather Locations” were classified as ‘energy giving’ spaces for all to learn, grow, and rejoice, whilst “Focus Spaces” were designated as places for productivity and to carry out our daily tasks.
From the reception lounge, the journey takes us to the large café where the surrounding meeting rooms which have operable walls can be opened to create an expansive space to host large events & townhalls.
Flexible meeting rooms for demonstration and training are also wrapped around the café area which has an eye-catching living moss ‘topographical’ feature wall.
